Dr. Sean Neuman

Meet Dr. Sean Neuman

Dr. Sean Neuman, DPT, DNc is the owner and founder of Bluffton Mobile Physical Therapy LLC. Dr. Neuman has spent the last almost 10 years refining his manual therapy and corrective exercise skills in various orthopedic settings. He now brings these skills to your doorstep. He received his Bachelor of Science in 2010 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013, both at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Neuman uses a hands-on approach to promote healing and takes continuing education seriously in order to further develop his skills. Dr. Neuman uses an assessment approach that relies less on traditional tests and more on your response to manual techniques. This approach is much more specific in identifying actual dysfunction and enables quick recovery. In his free time, Dr. Neuman enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the beautiful Lowcountry waters, and playing pick-up sports.

Bluffton Mobile Physical Therapy provides outpatient physical therapy services either at the convenience of your own home or you can see us at our office inside of Pulseology Fitness. We serve patients in both the Bluffton SC and Hilton Head SC regions. We are a group that have highly experienced and trained physical therapists that have ample knowledge regarding human body movement and it’s potential musculoskeletal imbalances. Our therapists provide detailed evaluations and individualized treatments consisting of a combination of hands on therapy and specific exercise/movement to fix the culprit causing pain or physical dysfunction. We only provide 1 on 1 services, meaning our patients are never double or triple booked with other patients.

We provide skilled assessments in order to find movement faults that may put you at risk for injury or that may be causing a present pain syndrome. Recently in the exercise industry there has been a major push towards higher intense exercises and for some people this places them at a greater risk for injury if they have movement faults. We look to find these movement faults in order to correct them for safer exercise and/or for addressing potential culprits of pain.

Bluffton Mobile Physical Therapy is wonderful to work with to make sure all of our patient's PT needs are cared for.

I was impressed with the PT service, and would recommend them to anyone who needs PT. I had meniscus surgery.

SoftWave FAQs

  • What results should I expect from SoftWave Therapy?

If you are a candidate for treatment, SoftWave therapy can provide both immediate and long-lasting results. After one SoftWave session, patients typically experience a 20-50% reduction in pain and improvement in mobility, lasting from a few hours to several days. Some patients require multiple sessions before experiencing improvement.

To determine if SoftWave is a suitable treatment for you, schedule a $69 New Patient Appointment, where you will receive one SoftWave treatment session, and the provider will assess whether further treatment is appropriate.

Unlike pain medications and injections, SoftWave treatment seeks to activate the body’s natural healing process at the cellular level to deliver genuine and long-lasting results.

  • What is the SoftWave treatment process like?

SoftWave is a fast and convenient non-invasive procedure that usually lasts 10-15 minutes, with no downtime required for recovery. First, ultrasound gel is applied, then the SoftWave device is gently placed to deliver shock waves to the injured area. Most patients feel a gentle tapping or pulsing sensation, while some patients may experience mild pain or discomfort. The use of anesthesia or numbing agents is not necessary. Effective communication with the provider during treatment can help identify treatment hotspots and track progress.
