Tiffany

"Wow! It stopped hurting. It was hurting pretty bad when I was talking to you earlier. I'm pretty amazed. It's like, 15 months of burning, searing pain on and off throughout the day and I was burning pretty good cause it's a long drive to get here. I don't feel the pain anymore. I was doubting you big time, I was like c’mon. I'm really shocked, honestly."  Tiffany has endured months of burning, searing lower back pain and it took just one SoftWave treatment to get her back to feel no pain.

Chelsea

"I just felt lighter. I, for the first time in many years, didn't have pain, and the feeling that I could be able to move my body and not have that pressure any longer on my hips was a blessing...It just brought back life to me that I have been without for so many years." After dealing with chronic back and hip pain, Chelsea experiences a back pain-free life for the first time in many years after one session of SoftWave.

Shockwave Therapy Exhibits Significant Antibacterial Effects

This study investigated the antibacterial effects of extracorporeal shock waves (ESWT) on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The researchers found that applying 4000 impulses of shock waves with an energy flux density of 0.59 mJ mm(-2) resulted in a significant bactericidal effect. Additionally, a threshold impulse number of more than 1000 impulses was needed to reduce bacterial growth. Increasing the energy and impulse number further increased bacterial killing. These findings suggest that ESWT has the potential to be used as a treatment for certain difficult-to-treat infections.

Shock Wave Therapy for Acute and Chronic Soft Tissue Wounds

This study investigated the feasibility and safety of using extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) for complicated, nonhealing, acute and chronic soft-tissue wounds. Two hundred and eight patients were enrolled, with treatment consisting of debridement, outpatient ESWT, and moist dressings. Of the 208 patients, 156 had 100% wound epithelialization during a mean follow-up period of 44 days, and there were no treatment-related toxicities, infections, or deterioration of any ESWT-treated wound. The study concluded that ESWT is a feasible and well-tolerated strategy for treating acute and chronic soft tissue wounds.

Single Shockwave Treatment Shows Promise in Relieving Muscle Soreness

This randomized controlled trial investigated the effects of a single administration of focused extracorporeal shock wave therapy on delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) induced by eccentric exercise. While there were no statistically significant differences between the groups in pain intensity reduction, maximum isometric voluntary force, pressure pain threshold, and daily life impairment, there were clinically relevant effects observed. The study suggests that focused extracorporeal shock wave therapy could be a potential option for relieving pain and enhancing recovery from DOMS, particularly in the midterm (72 hours) and for athletes returning to play.
