Andrew

"I feel like I have a brand new knee. I seriously feel like I could run 2 miles with no problem. Like, there's no pain. That has never happened in the last 5 months. I have never had a day where it has been like, feeling like my right knee. I'm speechless."  "I don't know why this isn't everywhere. This should be everywhere. People can heal so much faster if we had this technology." Andrew experienced knee pain for months after his surgery. Then he discovered SoftWave.

Emma

"This is the least pain I've had in probably 8 years in my whole back." Emma has been enduring scoliosis with rods on her spine since she was 15, and with SoftWave therapy she finally felt pain relief.

Samantha

"I wish we would've found you before she had surgery, you know. That probably would have prevented her having surgery." Samantha, who was suffering from paralysis from the legs down, can finally wiggle her toes after SoftWave therapy.

Shockwave Therapy Exhibits Significant Antibacterial Effects

This study investigated the antibacterial effects of extracorporeal shock waves (ESWT) on Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The researchers found that applying 4000 impulses of shock waves with an energy flux density of 0.59 mJ mm(-2) resulted in a significant bactericidal effect. Additionally, a threshold impulse number of more than 1000 impulses was needed to reduce bacterial growth. Increasing the energy and impulse number further increased bacterial killing. These findings suggest that ESWT has the potential to be used as a treatment for certain difficult-to-treat infections.

Shockwave Therapy for Wound Healing: A Review & Analysis

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) compared to conventional wound therapy (CWT) for acute and chronic soft tissue wounds. The analysis included ten randomized controlled trials involving 473 patients. The results demonstrated that ESWT significantly increased the healing rate and improved wound-healing area percentage compared to CWT. ESWT also reduced wound-healing time and the risk of wound infection. No serious adverse effects were reported. The study concludes that ESWT shows promising therapeutic effects for acute and chronic soft-tissue wounds

Effects of Low-Energy Shock Waves on Oral Bacteria

This study aimed to investigate the antibacterial effects of low-energy shock waves on oral bacteria. The researchers treated suspensions of six bacterial species with different pulse numbers and energy flux densities (EFD) of shock waves. The results showed that low-energy shock wave therapy had a significant antibacterial effect on Streptococcus mutans and a strain of Porphyromonas gingivalis, even with as few as 100 pulses at a high EFD. Additionally, the shock waves disrupted bacterial aggregates at lower EFDs. However, no significant reduction in viability was observed for other bacteria tested. These findings suggest that low-energy shock wave therapy may be effective in targeting specific oral bacteria.

SoftWave FAQs

  • What is SoftWave therapy?

SoftWave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses patented technology to promote healing at the cellular level, improve blood supply, and initiate the body’s natural healing process. SoftWave is performed with a patented device called the OrthoGold, developed by Tissue Regeneration Technologies, and is available at licensed medical clinics throughout the United States. This FDA(510k) cleared technology produces powerful, unfocused shock waves delivered during treatment to an injured, scarred, or inflamed region of the body. Treatment typically takes 10-15 minutes, and no anesthesia, numbing agents, or recovery time is required.

  • Where can I go to get SoftWave therapy?
