Meet Cecilia Yu
Dr. Cecilia Yu is a Hong Kong native. She received her collegiate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. It was during her college years when she met her mentor, Dr. Erickson, who explained with simplicity, that with interference, nerves cannot “fire” their messages to and from the brain, leading to dysfunction of the body’s organs. Healing occurs within the body by the removal of this interference. What a beautiful simple philosophy to live by! This was when Dr. Yu decided to change the lives of many by becoming a spinal care practitioner. She graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic of Dallas, Texas (USA) in 2008 and has been privileged to train with some of the best NUCCA practitioners in the world (there are currently only 30 Board Certified NUCCA doctors in the world), and received the guidance of many within the NUCCA organization. She was the sole owner and operator of Synergy Balance in Dallas, Texas for 6 years before deciding to take time off to travel the world. She then settled down and served the people of Sydney, Australia for close to 5 years. However, once a Texan; always a Texan. The magnetic draw of the Texas lifestyle is too hard to resist. Dr. Cecilia is proud to call DFW home again and to help her community with renewed passion. Dr. Yu is a Level 3 Candidate for NUCCA certification program with the constant goal of perfecting the art of NUCCA to better serve her patients by addressing the upper cervical complex.

What is the SoftWave treatment process like?
SoftWave is a fast and convenient non-invasive procedure that usually lasts 10-15 minutes, with no downtime required for recovery. First, ultrasound gel is applied, then the SoftWave device is gently placed to deliver shock waves to the injured area. Most patients feel a gentle tapping or pulsing sensation, while some patients may experience mild pain or discomfort. The use of anesthesia or numbing agents is not necessary.
