Meet Michael Chon PT, DPT

Michael is the owner of New West Physical Therapy. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at UCSD and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at USC. He has over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist and has worked in multiple settings to widen his knowledge and scope of practice. He has worked in settings with geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, sports medicine, and outpatient orthopedics. He was board certified in orthopedics and has been trained in PRRT (Primal Reflex Release Technique) to help those in pain. Michael is passionate about his role as a physical therapist not simply for the profession itself but because he gets to use his giftedness to deliver compassionate and effective care. He sees each person as a unique individual and strives to help each person he sees with utmost attentiveness. He has been able to use his expertise locally as well as globally, basically wherever he goes, because someone is always in need of help!
