Originally from Tel Aviv, Israel, Dr. Youval Barak dedicated most of his youth and early adulthood to the game of soccer. At a young age, his passion for soccer and physical fitness lead to his appointment as a strength and condition coach in the Israeli Defense Forces. After serving his country in 2009, Dr. Barak was recruited by California State University, Northridge to play left back for the Matadors. During his time at the University, he earned his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013. He was also recognized as an All-American for his performance on the soccer field. After graduation, Dr. Barak’s desire to continue playing soccer lead him back to Israel where he played professional soccer for the next four years, while he earned his Master’s in Science of Physical Education from the Zinman College of Sport Science at the Wingate Institute.
During his soccer career, Dr. Barak sustained a traumatic knee injury which led to surgery and his first exposure to chiropractic care. The treatment he received immensely helped his healing and recovery process. This life changing event guided him to seek out an education and degree in which he could provide others with the same holistic care. With this goal in mind, Dr. Barak joined University of Western States where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, graduating with Cum Laude honors in 2020.
Upon completion of his education, he realized the vast knowledge he gained as a strength coach and an athlete earlier in life provided him with an invaluable, firsthand experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Barak believes that patient education is the key for long term results. His goal is to empower patients and to provide them with the tools necessary to take an active role in managing their personal health. Dr. Barak’s treatments are specific to each patient and condition. His treatments may consist of various modalities, therapies, techniques as well as customized rehab programs to help restore you to preinjury status and achieve your personal goals.
